So my new truck should be here on Friday, but the LEDs came today. So what does any 34yo who acts 12 do.. Hook em up of course.

New truck is going to get the 4 strobe + front & rear flasher mini edge mounted on the headache rack and 4 Nova WIC3 split Amber/Red Leds mounted on the side rub rails

For coolness might order another 4 Leds and mount 2 in the grill and 2 on the mirrors.. but gots to make some money first:D

Is that a LED light bar by whelen? You think those dual colur leds are cool check these babys out. Self strobeing. Huge coin thou. The whelen TIR3's are nice and inconspicuous.

I hope to put some TIR3's in between the Tailgate and the bumper in the back of the truck if i get a good price.

It's actually a good idea to hook them up and test them.To keep costs down,a lot of quality control checks have been eliminated, including pre-testing.I see more and more DOA products every day.

I always pre-test before installing everything. It sucks spending all the time installing and wiring things to find out theny don't work. omg

How are those led WIC3 split Amber lights?I thinking about getting a set but they are rather new and wanted to get some opinions first. They look pretty bright in that picture, that was one of my concerns. How about the flash patterns i believe it said there is 15 patterns?

I have also been looking to get a pair of WIC3's, but am waiting to hear some feedback on them first. As far as them coming with all of the wiring, I am going to say that it doesnt. According to the manufacturers website, it comes with:

Package Contents

LED WIC Head
Adaptor
Grommet
Mounting screws
Installation Guide

Here is the webpage with specs and stuff:

I got the surface mounts. They are mounted, but not wired up yet completely, still working on it. They are bright. The are on the side of my flatbed and are an effective addition to the mini edge. They need to be wired up obviously, but the flasher is built in. I have noticed that even if I set the flash pattern the same in each one they lose sync. No big deal, but just wanted to let you know. For $200 for 4 it is a good deal in my mind.

I have a pair of these on the rear of my 2500HD on the flat space just above the rear bumper. They are bright, very thin, and great off center visability because of the design of the led head. But like anything they have there place.

I'll get some pics.

Well i just went and ordered a pair.I plan on mounting them on my toolbox facing the rear, hopefully it will be just wide enough to be visible with my tailgate spreader on.I will post some pics once i get them. I hope they are as good as they look.

Of course when I mounted them I did not realize the new PROFLO2 was going to totaly block the one on the left.

I think if i move it all the way to the left I will get about 50% out if with the spreader mounted. Considering moving them down onto the bumper not sure yet.

Therefore, mount your spreader and whatever else you use in the winter and then use some velcro with temp wires to see if they will be obstructed BEFORE you drill.
