Well just like finding out there is no santa this morning i went to fill up a truck the price at shell was 2.34 a gallon when i went in to pay i was talking to the girl i know all of the people there we have accounts set up there and have bought shell fuel for years i honestly feel or thought it was a better fuel. I was complaining to her about the cost of diesel and told her i knew it would go higher up here next month when they switch to prem #1 has i talked to her she said ya we add this container after every tank fill she took me in the back room and low and behold there is a 5 gallon jugs of addtive for gelling it was made by lm refineryss and it gave treatment specs at 2500 gals to provide gel protection to 0 to 10 above protection 3000 gals 10 to 15 degrees protection i asked her what there tank held she said 3000 gals . So first off iam pissed there talking #2 adding anti gel and crappy stuff at that and calling it premium a word of caution i can tell you the fuel i bought today wont make it on a cold day up here so i would say if this is the norm every truck should be getting power service added if you figure that into the pump price were paying close to 2.45 gal. I worked in the shop at a shell years ago and always felt there products were above the rest after today i might has well buy it for three cents less at starvin marvin and just add my ps every tank always felt uncomfortable buying fuel from a gas station that is starving YA RIGHT.
