Today when plowing, I was keeping close tabs on the Tranny temp. When I was in 4-Hi, It would run up to about 200-210 at the hottest (at that point, I let it cool). In 4-Lo, it would stay at 180. My sender is in the hot line, not in the pan, so would you say that it would be ok to plow in 4-Hi? I put it in 4-Lo, because I didn't quite know what temp was safe. At what temp (in the hot line) would you pull over and let it cool? I would really like to stay in 4-hi, it shifts so rough, and revs in reverse.

if thats a hotline reading your fine until you reach 275 then stop put it in "N" let it cool way down. you may want to run Synthetic oil and/or try a second aux tranny cooler to make it even better!:usa
