Can somebody help me? My computer was running real slow. I have been having trouble getting "cookies" to delete. Now there are two really large Temporary Internet Files from SPC that I can't seem to get cleaned out. One is the thread about "One's Mans Collection" or similar. I have a lot of large GIF files. It seems the files were not closed in the TIF, so I opened and closed them. Finally got the GIF files deleted, but can't get the thread deleted - it's about 96 KBs. Another one is the one about "Going a little fast, Mr Tilley?". It's around 90KBs. I've tried clicking on the file in the TIF, then CLOSE. But they won't delete.

I've cleared off about a gig worth of GIF files and it's running faster, so I'd say that's it. But I'd like to clear out these two and a bunch of others that are the same way. Any idea?

Next step is DEFRAG, but I want to get the files deleted first.

Did you try deleting them through IE or are you just finding them?

You should be able to delete them by opening Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>click Delete Files.

IE. That did it. Thanks. We had not been able to figure out how to delete cookies when we got this thing. Our son set up a folder on the desktop with a link to the cookies, so all we had to do was open the folder, "SELECT ALL" and "DELETE". It just didn't delete all files.

Now that I know it can be done under TOOLS, etc, it's pretty easy. I just wish he's showed us that. Maybe he didn't know since he was going through "My Computer", then somewhere we couldn't figure out.

Thanks again, festerw.
