A refuse collector in my town runs these spotless internationals. He uses them everyday. Heres his international loadstar- specs are undetermined yet.

Sorry Bryan, that truck is a Loadstar but not a 1500. The 1500 rode on some mongrel tire size like 17 or 17.5" and GVWs topped out around 15K. The 1500 in '72 was actually the 1510 and shared the same cab configuration as that pickup the guy has.

That pickup is probably between 73 and 75. I can't see side emblem very clearly but it's not the one they used in 71 and 72. I had pickups from both those years and they had the model designation above and below the side marker, not behind it like that truck has.

The Loadstar line were 1600 through (at least) 1800 models. The series was introduced sometime around 1963 and remained unchanged until '73 when it was available with a fiberglass tilt hood which had a more squared appearance from the front. They were available in both 4 and 6 wheel chassis configurations. Common power was either 345 or 392 cubic inch gas engines with a 304 and possibly a 260something in the early years. GVWs started somewhere around 16K and topped out well in the mid-30 range for the 1800. The 17 and 1800 were a very common chassis in a 4 x 2 drivetrain carrying a 6 or 7 yard dump body.

By the early 70's there was a Fleetstar model with a different cab configuration and generally heavier GVWs available in a 1910 and 2010 model which could be had with gas V-8 power up to 549 ci and I htink a straight six of somewher around 500 ci. The Fleetstars were commonly seen with diesel power, a lot of them with 6/71 Detroits.

Nice trucks. They look really good for being so old. Its nice to see older trucks in such good shape. Some guys around here buy brand new trucks and in no time at all, it looks beat to death. Dents and scratches everywhere and never get a bath. :( Mike
