My truck has 460,000 KM on it,or about 290,000 Miles. Most of the other trucks are all high mileage too,but they are older. One of the sidewalk vans has almost 700,000 KM on it now.
Only low mileage vehicles are the salt trucks, which have around 120,000 KM,but they are ex-city trucks, and have a ton of hours on them.

I voted the 150-200k mile option. Without going outside to look at it, I think I have about 157k or 158k miles on it. But like said above, she still runs fine, you would never know it had that many miles on it. It was purchased new though and taken care of like a baby from day one. With that said, anyone wanna buy this piece of crap from me?? :D Just kidding!! Mike :D

I knew one of you guys would have a comment about the 2 zeros thing. I thought it would be the $75.00 comment though. ;) No the 2 zeros have to be to the right of the 5 and the decimal point after the second zero. When you are through, it should look like this: $7,500.00. Note I am not trying to sell my truck, so please dont move this thread to the For Sale forum, thank you. Mike :D

Brian,
Sorry it took so long to get back with you. I have been real busy. I shouldnt of said anything about the dodge until yesturday when it was official. I gained the dodge in one of the buyouts I am doing. I made settlement on the purchase of Dixon Landscaping. The Dodge is part of the business I bought. I have no plans for the dodge as of yet. I am still involved in some other dealings that is requiring me to purchase eqiupment more so than pickups with plows. I cant say anymore at this time to protect my investment. Monday after the contract is signed I can spill the beans. If all goes well I will be leaving DOT by the first of the year. The simply answer would be if the dodge is to get a plow it would be a Jerre Blizzard.

It's an 84 Ford F250 with a 6.9L diesel,C6 auto.I used to have an 86 just like it way,way back.It was an awesome truck in it's day.
First order of business is to strip the stupid IFS out,and put a solid front axle under it.As far as a plow,I haven't decided yet.It will most likely get one of my spare Western 9 footers, with extensions.
The box is shot,so it will either be a flatbed,or a v-box for backup.
Here's a shot of my old 86.Hopefully I can restore this one to look just like it.I still have that homemade lightbar kicking around somewhere........ :D

i like the 86 Chris i have one sitting in my yard i bought last year with the intentions of fixing up but that hasn't happend yet. has 89,000 on it. curious how much and how difucult do you think it would be to convert from the 350 motor that needs a rebuild, to a diesil. also how hard is the front axle conversion. my plans for the truck is to either rebuild motor or buy crate motor or put in diesil, convert axle and rebuild tranny/transfer case (there both fine but figuire if i'm doing motor). then i figuire it will be a nice truck the problm i have is the work will have to be done by someone else becuase i dont have the skills or tools.

I still don't want anything to do with lawn work. I am retaining all employees for now. I am retaining the previous owner and his top foreman to run the landscaping side. My biggest reason for doing this was to obtain a few contracts with some brokers and properties management groups who wanted a one stop price for snow/lawn/development work. After a year the previous owner will retire and I hope things work out to where I can rely on the same foreman he has relied on to keep the lawn side running.
More growth and exciting news to come later this week.
P.S. If you or crafty want to bid some road plowing for a couple of subdivisions in odessa and smyrna I have the contacts I can lead you to. Bids need to be in by oct.4

The diesel swap, and the axle conversion isn't too hard. It's a driect bolt in if you have all the parts. It helps to have a donor truck for everything you need.

Sounds like what the dealerships are wanting to give me on my 99 for trade. Geesh I just bought this thing in January and got a good deal on it then and now they want to beat me up about $5000 from what I paid. With that said I guess I will have to let the good incentives pass me by this year....:(

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d105/Yumhaha/002.jpg
I just went through the mechanicals:
All new Brake lines, Brakes, rotors, drums, , master cylinder, proportioning valves, shocks, battery, exhaust, oil pan, water pump, steering pump, fuel lines, pump , sending unit, I had to the heads off to reapir exhaust manifolds so I did a valve job while they were off. the reason I had to do this was it sat for nearly four years on an unpaved surface so moisture had its toll on it. I also replaced the plow pump motor and flushed the hydro fluid.
i plan on building a pair of HD bumpers for front and rear, I want to incorporate thye front bumper into the plow frame. I also plan on fixing a couple of small rust spots and a scrape, and painting the truck. I will need to replace the headliner since it hangs down obstructing by view. I hope to get a pair of new plow lights,a headache rack and small strobe light as well.
