Another member started a thread on the "other" site about the missing link to Snowplowing-Contractors.com.
I added something like "They must have left just like many of the knowledgeable senior members."
Guess what??
My reply got deleted:D
The founder stated that Snowplowing-Contractors.com was a non paying sponsor and was left there out of respect. They now have a paying sponsor to fill the spot so respect goes right out the window I guess.
Just felt good to take a jab at a bunch of a$$holes.
Needless to say I won't be going back there.
Keep up the good work new #1 site,

The owner of the site over there posted his phone number a number of times and offered to address members concerns directly. I'd sent him an email, and got a reply that did no more than invite me to call as well. I did so, last Friday, and got an answering machine. I'm still waiting for a return call...

I know it is hard to not bring it up... but I will be glad when what happened there, is old news not worth mentioning.
As a matter of fact, my wife was at that site, and on that thread when I walked into the room last night, and I read it.
You left out one important thing, which is what the Founder of that site said.... He added that he would be putting back the link to my site, but it was up to the NEW owner to make that call.
I have no beef with anyone from the other site, and ESPECIALLY not the Founder.
Like I said, it is all water under the bridge..... I hang my hat here now. :)

In fairness--by some strange coincidence, just about the time I was posting the above post, I missed a call from the gentleman, who left a voicemail. I haven't had time to call him back yet,

WoW it only took him a week to call you back?
I'm surpised concidering 6000+ other people want to know the answers to the same question. He's just afraid to post anything letting the members know how other members feel & voice together against him...

Well as of today I'm no longer a member on PS.
Guess he must have read my posts here & banned me...
What a ass, cuz I've never posted there...
oh well. I think he is here & removing all members here as members there...
Just goes to show Sean really is a coward on a major power trip.
No wonder why the MFG's are all thinking about pulling out.

I also believe they shut down the PM's to stop the everyone from finding out about this site.

I have said it before and I will say it again.... I do not want anyone to use the other site in any way, shape, or form to tell people about, or to promote this site.
That is what e mail is for. Tell your friends in the industry. :)

Chuck, we or at least I respected that...:)
Using the E-mail function is the way to go. Most people have entered it... So I guess were stuck to using bogus accounts & e-mailing everyone. Just sucks that it only boosts his users.... lol

Anyone who still belongs to "THAT OTHER Site" still.... did you know that not only can you not private message, you can no longer email to another forum member. I had replied to a post, Which is Deleted, Created another post which Cardoctor replied and that too is gone. I tried to email CARDOCTOR and THE BOSS, who originally replied to my first post and it state that they elected not to receive mail from other forum members. I even tried to email Garagekeeper and it says he has elected to the same.
BIZARRE things brewin' over there...... or is it insecurity?
sorry to post this here. I hope it doesn't P-O the S-C guru's:soapbox
Plow Grrl,
I moved your thread to here, since it was already being discussed.
The funny thing is, as far as we know here, nobody used the PM's or E-mail there to invite members here. So it sounds like the disabling of those features is actually detracting from the users there being able to get the most out of their experience there. That should help those who had not moved on to remain I guess?? Must be one of those "business decisions" that us common people can't understand that helps the site increase it's quality, er I mean cash flow.

You can't even email anyone anyway. Everyone's has been disabled. Checked a few profiles, Instant Messenger names all read N/A.
If some asks, I have no problem telling them. Would I post a link to the new "IMPROVED" site on the "P-o-S" site, Never. Private email as I have done for a few new members that have seen the light.

Well after reading this thread, I wanted to see if I could still go there. Tried to log in and it wouldn't accept my user name or password:rolleyes:
I guess I am OFFICIALLY unregistered over there.
Wonder if their member counter subtracts as well as adds???
I would be curious to see how many members the other site has lost.
Oh well, I will be removing them from the "favorites".

What is unfortunate about ******** is that it still had some potential to serve as a good resource for information. I've browsed and posted a couple of times. But it looks like most of the posts now are from new members who are asking elementary questions. There is no true discussion on the site anymore that is so instructive. The site has become truely sanitized, much like ********. The level of information just isn't there anymore. It's unfortunate. But I guess that's the way of the free market.

I stopped in there last night just to see what was going on and to see if there was any new topics of interest. It seems pretty dead over there, and it's starting to remind me of a scene from Star Wars , I believe it was Princess Leah who said," The more you tighten your grasp Vader, the more star systems will slip through your fingers". I think that Sean is beating a dead horse at this point.
I also feel that we are beating it too. This will officially be my last post, since I really have no use for that site anymore- the quality of advice that I am looking for is here- so I see no further reason to give that site any more publicity- bad or good.
