Intake gasket restrictor

Can anyone tell me about the intake restrictor that comes with a new gasket set ? The instructions tell you to put it on one side and not the other depending on the application. This engine came from a 73 Suburban, but was a replacement engine. The number on the front is V0426TRJ. It's a 4 bolt main engine. Thanks

If you want good summer performance,then plug it off,or plug it up as much as possible using both of the smaller restrictors.

If you do any cold weather driving,then use the larger restrictors,or none at all.

I live in NW Ohio - so I do plenty of driving when it's cold. I'll just leave them out - thanks for the tip - guttyy
