Interior...meaning just the metal, or all plastic parts as well?
Dash? Panels?

Have you any experience with painting? (Don't want to give a beginners course explanation if not needed).

Basically, just mask areas off, paint in light layers, and take your time.
Shake the can often if using spray cans!!!
And wear a mask (not the ski-kind LOL)

Here's some tips for spray painting. (http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/rm_paint_tips_techniques/article/0,1797,HGTV_3768_1393606,00.html)

i will be painting metal and some plastic, but i know how to do the plastic. i have some experience i've painted a computer case before. i expecting it's sorta similar? sand to make smooth and no gloss, prime, sand, prime if necessary, paint etc. does it work like that in a vehicle? i'll be using a spray gun no cans!

With a spray gun....good :)

Sand all areas, to improve adhesion. Mask all areas off, no need for primer really, unless you are sanding down to bare metal. You are familiar with painting, so you pretty much already know what to do. Even strokes, steady hand, and not too much paint!! Spray guns do a great job with coverage....adding a hardener to the paint will help drying time, as well as durability. I usually reduce paint about 65/35 (reducer 65% paint 35%), but that's just my preferences, using my spray gun.

There are some experts on these boards regarding painting (which I am not), but I have painted many things, and have all came out nice & shiny :)

thanks for the tips. what brand of paint and all of that stuff do you recommend?

I don't even remember the brand...(all paint is in Tennessee right now)...I buy it from the local paint shop in town. The last gallon I bought was around $30, another $10 for gallon of reducer, etc. Just basic stuff, nothing expensive.
Works great though, never had any problems!

Another tip: use strainers for your paint, it will stop 99% of clogs in your gun!

I like to use Ditzler products by PPG, they seem to be very consistant in both application and color mixes.
