Here is what I made in wood tech in school. It is Red Oak, with the cutout in Cherry. The Cummins part is burned in. It certainly turned out better than I thought it would!

Wow Matt, that did turn out really well!
You'll have to make an end table with the Ram's head in it as your next project, They already go perfectly together!

Nice job Matt, seriously! You should contact Cummins and show that to them. You never know... they may contract you to make a couple for their boardroom or lobby, etc. I know woodworkers that have done personal projects like that and ended up making more under contract. One of the woodworking journals shows a very detailed carving of an 18 wheel car transport. The guy even made working hydraulic cylinders of wood and the ramps lift/lower as well. The co. that actually makes those things wanted him to make more for them, but he said he's going to wait until he retires.
