I have a 98 GMC K-2500, 5.7 350, 110,000 miles. This only happens when I have it on defrost. This pic was with the a/c off. Today was real muggy though. Anybody elses leak like this? You can see where it leaks down the frame.

I have a '97 2500 and it does not leak in that area at all.

If your GM truck or car has A/C anytime the defrost is on the A/C unit will run . So you are going to have water driping when the defrost is in use winter or summer.

My 2000 GMC does it all the time. This is true of almost all GMs I have been around.

That water looks geen to me. I would say a heater core line isnt tight enough or has gone bad. If its not green its just water from the A/C.

i hope it isnt green? a 98 chevy should have dexcool. "the pink stuff" if the radiator is full and it doesn't smell like antifreeze then its just water condensation on the evap. coil

frostie Your right about the Dex-cool but ive seen alot of people put in green even if it doesnt take it and if you get a flush at a oil change place they tend to refill it with green. But for dfor's sake i hope its just water then i wouldnt worrie about it at all. My 2001 chevy s-blazer if in my driveway and i have it running it will leave a water trail for a good 30' (on a hill) So if there no sweet smell anyware i wouldnt be worried.

Completly normal Tileman is correct doesnt matter what make Gm Ford Dodge when the defrost is on the ac compressor runs thats normal water drainage from the evap core drain when it more humid more water is displaced remember all a ac unit is a great dehumidifer during the winter months there is very little or if any discharge do to ambiemt temps.
