Walbridge Ohio, home of Lushers Auto parts, the owner had a heart attack and called us to come and make the place more appealing because it is currently for sale. Some people on here know that I am a certified scrap metal broker, and thats why I am overseeing the project, we started on it monday.

the place has been closed since 97
well I kinda shot myself in the foot as far as the scrap metal goes, we signed the contract which was supposed to pay $40 a ton to them which made a net profit of a little less then $100. as of right now steel is under $100 a ton = $35-$45 a ton profit, plus whatever I can sell on ebay. however it will make up in the long run, considering that $40/ton price is for ANYTHING metal... well this morning my worker said he found a cashe of aluminum rims.... over 200:cash average weight is 18# each x 51¢ lb x 200= alot of $$
:cliffnotes version:
I pick up junk cars and crush them
take to my buyer
get paid $35 a ton
sell whatever I can on ebay to make money
sweat my ass off in the sun

A long time ago I worked in a junkyard for a few months. Once I spent about a week cleaning radiators--torching the bands off them and taking out the drain valves. (On edit: I had to go to a less technical term for the "drain valves", because the automatic censoring program thought I was using a naughty word. ) When I was done there was a dumptruck full of copper. I drove it to the scrapyard and they handed me $2300 in cash. I was being paid about 7 bucks an hour...
One of the other things I did was to squash cars with a hilift, load them onto a truck and haul them directly to the shredder. They'd always check that the gas tanks were out of them and the tires were all off. I was told that one time a guy had put an old railroad wheel in the trunk of a car to get the weight up. They said it cost him $50,000 dollars to fix the shredder.
Have fun, Nate. :D
(And if you should happen to come across an ashtray and the cup holders for a 96 Lumina.....)
If you should happen to find a front Dana 60, I think either a Dodge or Chevy can be the donor) we could do some serious negotiating. I'm going to be just outside Columbus the week after next so I could combine errands. For that matter a 14 bolt FF rear is another possibility.
I've got a 10 bolt front and 14 bolt semi float that will work for what I have in mind, but the heavier pieces would be that much better.

plenty of 14 bolts and rear 60's, I found a front high pinion RC kingpin 60 today, unfortunantly we both know it is worth alot of tacos. so does the yard owner:rolleyes: but I believe there is a front end off of a 96 ram 2500 still out there that we could work something out on

This is what is on the car now. They are incorrect. Wire wheelcovers or someting that clips inside the wheel, not on the edge is preferred.
