Well, we close tomorrow morning at 11. Bought a garage with a house ;) and my wife bought a house with a garage :D
It will be a while before any vehicle work is done in it, at least until I get a good jump on what needs to be done around the house and yard.
Here's the important pic.

Chuck, Good Luck on the purchase of the new Garage with a house.;)
Chris, Good Luck on the purchase of the new house with a garage!:D
Looks like there is quite a bit of property behind and to the side of the Garage. Lots of room for expansion??????
Seriously, I want to wish you all the best.
I agree with an earlier post... Get the work done in the house quickly so you can RAISE the roof and install a lift!
I MEAN .....IN THE GARAGE !!!!

Actually. the first project is going to be to raise the roof over the far right door so I can fit my 77 Chevy in there! Chris does not want it to sit in the driveway, so it may have "some" priority... Raising the other two doors would be no help, as the main floor support beam for the upstairs is just too low.... even if I backed the truck in.
Thanks for the compliments guys!

Congrats Cuuck and Chris looks like a sweet setup to me. Will Chris be posting the pic of the house? You know in Erie we consider a 77 Chevy in the front yard to be “lawn Art”
Best luck with the new hacienda.

Somehow I don't think that Chris will see our humor in the lawn art when we finish telling her that it includes:
4 cement blocks instead of tires
seats that double as cat beds and mouse nests
broken windows
multicolored body panels ( or missing ones )
and of course parked under the tree that is to be used to pull the motor.
anyhow, I know how excited you both were when you discussed the house in Erie. Glad to see it coming together for you.
Don't forget to network the computers so Chuck doesn't have such a long walk.

Thanks everyone. As you can see, I will never see my husband again.
Steve....the only "lift" that's going to happen is lifting the garage to park that big old truck of Chuck's!!! ;)
Jerre.....you KNOW I have no sense of humor when it comes to that!!
Bud, I'll post a pic but I know you guys too well....will you really care what the house looks like????? LOL

Only time I would not be in it is bed or eating.

Chris, I'm going to PM Chuck and suggest that he send you away for a week or so and all us guys can have a get together there and do one of those Home and Garden TV type makeovers of the house. I have an idea for these *really cute* snowplow draperies...
:)
Congratulations!

When I bought my house, it had a two car garage under the house. My son's 1969 Firebird Got one bay, all the other stuff took up the second bay.
I have a big lot, but its flag shaped so there isn't a whole lot I can do about building a new garage.... that is without sacrificing my beautiful yard and parklike serenity. I do have a small shed that house firewood and yard equipement... If I could figure out a way to get the wife to give up her garden, then I could tear down that shed and put up a sweet garage in place of the garden and the shed.

Chuck & Chris,
we have been without a garage for 12 years. I know what a great thing it is to have one. Small chance we may build one this fall. Have fun. And yeah, Chris, we would really like to see the house too... Gotta know what it looks like so we don't drive past on the way to the garage:haha

That part about she got a house with a garage and you got a garage with a house is kinda like what I tell people about my marraige.. When asked if my wife and I are happily married, I say I'm married, she's happy..
Nice garage though. Looks like one of those kits you can pick up and build.. Is there a loft upstairs??
