This thing was sitting under a sink at the shop for about 9 years.
It was a total eyesore. New owners took over and cleaned house.
On it's way to the dumpster it made a left turn and ended up in the back of my truck. :D . Not much was left. leads were shot with small #4 wire , only 15 ft long. Took it apart and cleaned the inside case and transformer and got the fan straighted, aligned and balanced on my helicopter blade balancer. Ground down the case and repainted it. Added new 50ft #2 wire leads with a Bernard 40SP twist style electrode holder... Does it weld ??? oh YEA...

Who would have thunk of a welder restoration??:D

Not me for sure. Welding with a stick is one of the things I have never been able to do well.

Congrats on the nice job,

I would LOVE to find a deal like that.. Everytime I hit yard sales, welders are tops on my list of things to look for.. Nice job on the restoration, I hope you give it a good life.

Hey Fred
It's a Marquette 180 Model 10-120. The welding shops can't even find a listing on it for parts..LOL With 10 plug in's there are 21 different heat ranges from 20 to 180 amps

I bet if just got word out that your looking for one i'm sure someone knows someone that knows a friend that has one they don't use any more.:) A good life it will have for sure!!!

Thanks speedracer241. One thing about stick. Welding in real tight places or around corners is a great benefit. I use to be ok at mirror welding but it gave me a headache after about 30 min.

:headwall :D
