no ,the reason I just put it on is I got a new printer with a scanner and thought every one would like to see that combo and what it cost. Any way that truck would be way to be for any lot that I do would not mind a set up like JD's.

Would like to see a closer view of the hitch and mount system.

They're out there, not a super setup because of the small left end of the moldboard, but they do give you the ability to clean up corners while also offering a high speed highway plow performance. Would be a very nice private road setup.

There is a company in Mass., I think it's Housatonic Iron Works that makes a plow like that that is actually called the One Way Snowplow. Very well made unit in (I think) 9, 10 & 11 foot models. They are available to fit a variety of truck mounts so they can interchange with the more common Fisher, etc..

We call those dustpans around here. A friend of mine had one on his 350 with a small wing. Works pretty well for small roads. I still prefer a quickswitch, though.

That Ford would be nice, if you could trust the tranny, the alternator, the batteries, and everything else their having trouble with. :(

All the folks I'm talking to around here are going away from Fords because of all the problems. Ford has a serious marketing problem because of the issues. When all the municipalities and commercial operators have lost confidence in their trucks, they'll be left high and dry on the commercial truck division.

Ever since they did away with the Louisville series, they lost all their base customers anyway.

Hi All
Here is my 2000 set up by HP Faifield. I would have rather done it with a dodge too but dodge would have voided the fram warranty on the 3500 and with no 4500 or 5500 yet this was the only choice. But it does do a great job and with a 6 speed I do not have any of those tranny problems.:nope

Wyld,
I just bought this truck and added it to my other 3 trucks. I did not say I had owned it for 5 years. I said it was built by HP Faifield in Vermont which it was. I ask why anyone feels I may have misrepresented it. I am the rightful owner of this vehicle. If anyone was mislead thinking I meant I bought it new I apologize as it was not my intention. But as of this IS MINE:argue

Not many people make the effort to photoshop the name of a townships street department and then the ebay watermark off a pic to post it where in hopes he would not be recognised by others and pass the pic off as their own. There is sufficient time to of picked up the truck and as excited they were to snap many of their own pics of the truck.

However the feedback of the buyer has some items in it that are consistant with the trucks you have listed in your signature line.

Well GodFather.
All i can tell you is that the truck is mine. I am JJCOTTE and CGSI is Cotte General Services. Believe what you want, but I am the owner of that truck. As far as not having my own picture, you are correct. But I will have it soon. Excuse me for using the picture of it before i was the owner. I took the name off, not to hide it but rather the fact that I am now the owner of the truck and the town of Wolcott no longer is. I am Not sure though that the ebay image was removed because this picture came directly from the seller I think.
Either way, if it pisses you guys off that much I will change it. I have had plow trucks running with my name on them for 28 years, long before the internet was here and i just thought maybe i could share some knowledge and pick up a trick or two. I can see now that there are to many people here who jump the gun and assume way to much. i think i will just go about my business and not bother saying anything else in your forums here.

It is easy as pie to find out since you need verification. If you go to the post on E-Bay you can ask the seller a question. Ask Him If a man with the last name of Cotte, First name of John Bought the truck. Russ is part of the family that owns the International Dealership up there (just thought you might want to check on the seller too). The town bought a new, bigger truck from him. I have the pay pal reciept for the truck. Would you feel better if I posted it? Oh, By the way, while you are at it why not put some proof of ownership up for your truck, i think i saw one just like it too somewhere. Nah, don't bother. I could almost care where it came from or anything.
Since you want to persist in why I adjusted the picture and am using it, My son and brother are taking care of the Biz while I am over here working in Iraq as I have been for the last 16 months. I will be home on an R&R in February on the fourth to see my investment for the first time and will be there for 2 weeks and then return here until June. While I am home I will surely take a picture of me standing there in front of it at my home to make you feel better. If you would like to PM me I will give you my work email to verify that I am here as well. If there is anything Else that inquiring mines would like to know all you need do is ask, but i think to assume that someone is lying about there vehicles just because you saw the truck advertised is being too synical. Hi William
it plows out at 14 feet wide with the wing opend up and it has a 10' main. I have 2 commercial accounts that are wide open parking areas and I got it for them and also with the hopes of doing some work for a local town that has some gravel roads that they have a hard time doing with a full size truck. I had been reading all the posts of how many people with the Automatic trannys were so disheartened with them i decided to go with one with the 6 speed. Like I said, we just bought the truck and I WILL SURELY update you to how it pans out. I was looking to do this configuration with another Dodge but the frame issue came up so I went with this one.

LawnGodfather.
Just to clarify, you started this crap when you called me a child for changing it. if you had kept your input to yourself, this would not have gotten spun up and would have been solved with one reply from me

Johns post said he saw the truck but then when he re-read it he understood I just bought it and wished me good luck with it

Wyld said yes it was the samer Photo and had been photosmithed and simply asked why. I would have replied with the same reason I gave in the beginning.

You on the other hand simply stated your opinion as "child" to Wylds post. Yes, I took offense to that and still do. Opinions are like As*holes, everyone has one.

As far as I am concerned this matter is CLOSED with regards to ownership unless someone has a question about it. If so, please PM me so this whole damn mess does not get going again:waving

I can't wait to hear some feedback as you run this particular setup.

We currently run Blizzards and Westerns on our rigs and I am very curious to see how well you like running this type of a setup. Can't wait to see more photos..... You surely got a great deal on that truck from what I see as your final winning ebay price. I know those were expensive setups when new and the truck looks to be in great shape.

Russ told me the truck sold originally for 54K and I did the best I could to come up with everything in the value and i still find it to be about a 35 K truck so the price was worth it for me. Of course, like everything else in this world it is subject to turn to ***** but I think its going to be a great asset to augment my other trucks and to push the biz to the next level:D

That truck was probably at Clarks Truck Center in Underhill. They have been quite agressive in going after municipal sales and usually have a bunch of ex-town trucks in the yard. H. P. Fairfield sets up a lot of them to customer specs, regardless of truck brand, and they seem to get them right.

That multi-stick control is pretty standard, the only other viable option is to go with electric over hydraulic controls and that adds both cost and complexity to gain some measure of convenience. About all that can go wrong withe the sticks is the cables freezing up and the new cables are pretty well weatherproof. Reliability is the first consideration in muni rigs, particularly when you're in an area that gets snow more than 6-8 times a year.

Nice truck, at any rate. All the players are farily close to me, Wolcot id about 50 miles away, and is only a couple towns over from Morrisville, where H. P. Fairfield is located. Underhill is about 20 miles from here, just over the first range of foothills into the Green Mountains.

Hi Alan
Yes, I bought it from Russ Clark. Everything else you said hit the nail right on the head. I am fortunate that HP has a place in Housatonic Mass and is only about 1/2 hour from me. Lawngodfather.
If your level of education allows you to read well enough to understand the english Language you would have read that until I get back from Iraq on the 4th of February that it would not be possible for me to do that. I did state that upon my return from Iraq that I would post pictures of the unit with myself in the picture to validate the picture. While you sit at home with nothing better to do than to worry about if I own the damn truck or not I am trying to work in this hell hole and still take care of things at home so pardon me for not considering proving anything to you as an important issue in my life. Like I said before. Pictures will be the 4th or the 5th and not to prove anything to you but to show you that you are making assumptions that are wrong. You would think that there might be a slight chance that you would see the buyers name on the auction and understand already but then again that may be too complex for you to understand. It is 10:53 am here in Baghdad and I have work to do with people that are trusting in us to get a job done for them so I will have to leave none trusting people like yourself to your own demise until the 4th or 5th when I will do my post.:usa

ENOUGH!

The man posted pictures of a truck he has bought. Whether he bought it in person or through a third party is irrelevant. As for making an issue of whether or not he actually took the pictures I would have to ask why it matters. If the intent of questioning him is only to cause unrest then it's not acceptable here. If you have hard evidence that the member is a poser, do it in PMs to the staff, not inflammatory posts in the thread.

Alan,

Although it might not be important to you whatsoever,

Ron, you're quite right, it is not important to me, in the context of the content of this forum. Since you could not/would not take this to PMs, as I requested, I have removed the balance of your post. In my view, as a Moderator, it served only to continue a tangent that is not acceptable here. Best to let this particular dog sleep in peace.

Thank you, Alan.

CGSI, Good luck and hopefully you'll have a safe trip home.

Thanks AT
Other than post the pictures I promised on the 5th I am no longer posting on the site. Good Luck to you all. I had hoped to gain some insight and share some knowledge but I see this is not the place for me. This should make some people very happy.

Alan,

Point well taken. FWIW, sent a PM which went unanswered. Airing on the side of caution.

Paul,

Your comment are right on point. To what extent will people go to misreperent themself. What a waste of time. Your signature speak volumes when it comes to Reputation.

Enough. Here is the way I see it. This guy is WORKING in Iraq. He is also trying to keep things going building his own biz here while he is gone. He bought a truck off eBay. He was so excited to get it, he posted pics of it.

No question, I know 100% for sure he is there.

So what is the big deal?

I know if I chose to go (and I could sign up no problem) for a year, I know I would check in here for entertainment, and to keep my sanity. Not sure where he is exactly, but if I went I would be stuck in a compuond. I am sure there is not much to do there.

So he comes here, and is given a hard time, why? He didn't misrepresent anything.

THREAD CLOSED.
