Ok here we go, Jimmy aka Himmy is going to work this stock trailer over. The floor and the lower 12 to 14 in is gone. He is going to cut about 18 in of bad out, and lower the top. This will make it just right to haul pig and lambs. Here are a few pics of the before more to come later.

Well the trailer is finished (more paint after the fair) this pic was taken on Sat the 10th our fair started on the 10th.
The paint was finished around 3: PM the first pigs were loaded around 7:30 PM.
Jimmy has work long and hard to get to this point. It looks great and pulls like a dream. There are a few things to finish up after the fair, more paint and getting the brakes to work.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at the project as much as we have working on it.

The trailer looks good alot of work went into it from what i could see in the pics.About how many hours and money went into this project verses buying a new similar type trailer .I offen wanted do such projects but had second thoughts when I put pen to paper.
How come you need to have a lower trailer for pips and sheep?

Jay and Cat thanks.
Jay have not found the right GM hub caps yet:D ( Its not parked at my house )
Cat Jim thinks he has around 40 hrs. in the trailer. So far we have between 4 and 6 hundred dollars in material ( the Oak floor was a freebee) . The trailer does not have to be short to haul hogs, but if you don't have to have the tall trailer draging in the wind then don't.
Plus it was much easier to just shorten the hight than to replace all of the rotted out material. And it cost less.
