How many of you out there have weather station? I've had a Davis Weather wizard for about 10 years, and just upgrade to the new Vantage pro. With computer monitoring ability ( which the Wizard had but I didn't use) and the abilitly to re-transmit data to other stations etc, even in my mostly rural setting it will provide useful data and records. Though it can't truly forecast the waether I think it will provide an extra comfort zone in the event of a lawsuite, and with the ability to re-transmit data will provide a useful storm alert tool.

I've got an Oregon Scientific, but it crapped out after about a year's use. I'd like to get another one, but I'm leary of my experience with this one.

The vantage pro system works well for me has well i have other systems in place that like Steve said lasted a short period of time and failed.

Weather alert also came with a never miss a nights sleep has proved to be the most useless waste of money i spent the pad sets out side and measures precep that lands on it you can set the thing to sending alert beeps at any amount because i know how unreliblabe it is i still use the good old fashion metheod up at 2, 3 and 430 and check out the window never fails this last season with over two inches setting on its worthless sensor pad no alarms were going off in my office from the weather alert system the company has sense went out of buss and i just dont get alot of sleep in the winter amem
