I built this to become a dedicated de-icer sprayer, but untill winter hits, it will be used to fill my ride on sprayer spreader and also do some blanket apps wiht it, but after winter, it will be dedicated to deicer only.

I made sure you could still slide a full pallet in behind it in a short bed, just in case.
Before it's change-over to deicer, it will get 300" of hose instead of the 525' of synflex that is on there now.
Cost much less as I do use that hose for lawncare.

The system runs off a deep cycle marine batt. but I think I will be adding a cocond one since it runs the reel and the pump, I might also hook a charge wire up to my 7 way RV trailer plug as it will charge the batts while driving, and since it's in a diesel, it will be left running while working.
Oh and it's a 100gal tank

Very nice looking spray rig.I have built 3 spray rigs so far. I always wanted to try to use them in the winter but never did. have you thought about gas powered pumps? and if so what pump.I use hypro d 30s I think they would work well . any way you did a great job

D30 is a good pump, the 403 has the same specs, but has 3 diaphragms instead of 2. Seen alot of MFG using them now.
I don't see a problem with starting a Honda or a Kohler in the winter, but I don't see a pull start briggs starting easily.
I think you can use a less expensive roller pump or a cintrifgual pump instead of the diaphragm pump. Go with the silvercast not the nicast for corrsion.

I have a Honda 5.5 and a Briggs IC-5 on my spray units. Both start 2nd or 3rd pull every time. The honda is much better on gas than the briggs though.

I would wire a trickle charger in with the wire to your block heater so you could plug both in at once!

Have you decided what deicer you are going to use yet?

Nice..
Looks like my 1200 gal slave tank with 5 gpm 12v.
But I did copy yours, LOL.
Why switvh out to 300' ft hose? Is the hose differrent, or you just don't want to contaminate?

100 gallon tank.
The hose is $500.
Why take a chance on it getting brittle in the cold temps or snagging in something and breaking it.
It's synflex plastic, not rubber.
Bonnds...great idea.
How about a boom for spraying parking lots?
