VIN codes for 85

I tried to find out what engine is in this truck, VIN # 1GDHK34M0FJ528311. I can't find the engine codes "below" in the Chevy Pages here. The "M" should be the engine code and I'm thinking it is probably a 350, it's advertised as a V-8, automatic, VIN indicates it's a K30.

I used my "cheat" method. AKA plug the VIN # into carfax and it'll tell you the engine size.

I had a C20 with the "M" engine, it is a 350 and is considered heavy duty as opposed to the other light duty 350 offered that year which would have an "L" in th VIN. Mine was an 82' and was supposed to run on leaded gas but because that got phased out in the 80's it went back to the dealer and had new exhaust valves installed. I think this engine's RP0 code is LT9 and I have seen differing horsepower ratings. Some sources say 165hp and others say 185hp. Compression ratio is supposed to be 8.3:1 and it has four-bolt main caps. Mine was still running strong with 175,000 miles. Check out www.73-87.com for more engine info. Hope this helps.
