Expand width of plow

Over the summer I want to make the width of one of my spare 7½ western pro plows and make it about 9½' wide perminatly.

Somthing along the lines of what Pelican did with his Artic, but mine has a steel welded on moldboard skin.

Any thoughts on this?

You can do exactly like he did,and extend both side by framing it in.Then you only need to cover each end with a sheet of steel,not the whole plow.A longer,one piece steel edge will give it more strength too.

I've done four of my Snoway's,and they have all held up just fine.They used to be 6'8",now they are 8'8".
