i stopped in to my local dealer the other day in omaha, ne (all truck equip.) and they said a new 810 for next year was going to cost me around 4800.00 and i realize this is a good plow. but from the post's ive looked at this still seems pretty steep. i was guessing around 4000.00-4400.00. any insight would be appreciated.

Frostie welcome to SC.

I think that sounds about right. Might be able to find something a little cheaper by maybe 100 or so but not much more. Jerre Heyer can answer this better though, maybe PM him?

I paid $4300 3 years ago, cash and carry, no installation. The price you quote doesn't sound unreasonable.

I priced them around here, installed was $4400 out the door.
I guess your price is in line. You would think the price would go down for the season, but its still a new product.
Good luck! I couldn't find that one on Ebay....??

Im not 100% ,but I think its last years model,,it doesnt have the 2 holes, and pins to lock the wings in,you can see these on the back of the moldboard on the newer ones. I think the price is steep considering that, there is no mount, and the seasons over. You can order pre season for just a few hundred more with a mount, next yrs model. If you needed one today then Id consider it

That plow is not the newer style, it has 2 pistons per wing instead of 1. The newer blades are much easier to service.

Thanks for the link REED384. That would be a deal if you get it for what it is at right now. But if any one is in the market for a new 810 allready, I would steer clear and get the newer model.
Just a thought.

i was looking to get it. this summer and i still feel that 4800.00 is a little steep. but don't have that much of a choice if i wan't a 810 i will have to pay what he asks. i just thought that they would cut me a deel if i placed my order this soon.

From current pricing of steel I anticipate a $200 price increase on most plows. Though $4800 may seem high it's not off line for many markets. Currently 810's are $4500 + tax installed here. An increase of $200 would take that to $4700.00 right away.

In our market the users are seeing such an improvement in time savings that the cost is not an issue as they pay nearly that much for a V plow without all the benifits.

I agree. With steel prices rising, everything made with steel will cost more and throw in recent fuel hikes and it adds to the cost even more to get them shipped.
