I am wondering if using a copper radiator on a early 90's truck with an aluminum block will cause problems? The aluminum rad is junk but I have a copper one that will fit but not sure if I should use it.

Thanks
Roger

i would use it, they had alum blocks all the way back early 60s buicks, with no alum rads and they worked fine

I would just make sure to use the correct antifreeze, i know duh but the old green kind will eat up the alum block.I don't know if the pink stuff will hurt the copper rad might be something to look into.

That's something I didn't even think of. Thanks.

the green won't hurt an alum block or heads, for years people have blamed dex cool for intake gasket problemns in gm's and have put the green in with no ill effects, i just use what they call global at work enymore it pretty much fits everything instead of having several on the shelf
