How many of you plow BIG properties. So far my largest is under 3 acres in size...not very big. But I'm quoting on a 9 acre lot which for me is BIG.
For those of you doing BIG lots, what equipment do you find works best? Do you sub most of the work? At what cost? Do you price per event? Or seasonally?

We do a lot of big stuff. It's all seasonal pricing.
A good combination of trucks and loaders make quick work of the bigger properties.Having a few subs for backup helps too.

42 acres with lots of obsticles. Equipment list : 4 F-350's w/ Boss 8'2" 's, L8000 w/ 10' Boss, John Deere 260 w/ 8' pusher, John Deere 310SE w/ 12' pusher, Terex 72/71 w/28' Pusher. We move the snow to an area that it can be gotten with the 28' pusher because all the snow needs pushed to 2 spots on the property.

We use loaders with pushers. Many different sizes of trucks to set up\outline the lots, pull out small areas, etc.
We have some that are seasonal and some per push. It depends on what the customer requests.
Pricing is pretty much based on what it would take to do it with a a truck, becasue that's what would be used if the loader breaks--which they haven't yet.
