Hi all - I'm putting an 85 cab on a 76 1 ton dually frame. The 85 cab has A/C, but did not have PW, PDL, Cruise or Delay. I'm using a doghouse from an 84 diesel Suburban. Will I just use the under hood wiring harness from the Suburban and only use the parts I need ? For example - the quad headlights ? Will the tilt column with the cruise and delay from the Burb plug into the 85 cab ? Will it be this simple or do I have lots of splicing and soldering in my immediate future ? Thanks

If it becomes too big a job you might won't to see if Painless Wiring makes a kit you can use. I used one on a Jeep once and it made the job real simple.

Thanks for the tip 76Silverado - shouldn't have to resort to that, but nice to know it exists if I need it - thanks - guttyy

Most everything is a plug in.You can use whatever harnesses work best for your application. The column harness is the same for reg and delay wipers, only difference is the delay box which just goes inline with the connector at the bottom of the column.

Forgot to add,use the newer style fuse box, with the better fuses. Then the column wiring is a direct plug in.

Thanks Chris - I hoped the main schematic was capable like that, I appreciate your confirmation - it will surely simplify the rest of this build. Thanks again - guttyy
