View Full Version : Alternator cross referance between GM 350s

I need to know if a alternator from a 93 350 will fit on my 97 350 to get me through for now?

Just had it go out on me and I need to get it back up and running and that is the only options I have at the moment.

GM moved the alternator from the drivers side to the pass side on the Vortecs in 96. At least that's the way mine are set up. If the mounting tabs are the same, and the clock position is the same, it will work. The exciter wire connector may be different though.

That did not even click in my mind that they moved the placement of them.
