Material % profit

Ok, as I deal with getting my boiler replaced, I am curious to see what you would charge as a profit on NON stocked materials that you purchase through a distributor.. I know that things come at a price, but at what price is "fair"..

I am curious as this relates to boiler equipment...

I should add that the quote I just received marked big items up 65% (boiler/water heater) plus labor..

Small items were marked up over 100%.

I think they charge what the trafic will bear (sometimes bare......as in butt)
