Last night one of our spreaders, well the whole truck was stolen from our yard at about 8:30pm. Our neighbors camera shows it but cant make anyone out. The truck that pulled up to our gates and hung out for a few minutes was a light colored late model ford with crewcab and long bed. We found the truck not far away with the spreader gone. They took the junky controller but butchered the harness. We are located in Beltsville MD so if anyone hears of a nice saltdogg for sale that just needs a wiring harness let me know!
This brings me to two things: 1st why dont the spreaders have serial number plates on them?
2nd does someone have a spreader i can borrow as i want to get another one of these but no one has one local that i can find.

Actually the Salt Dogg Box spreaders do have serial numbers on them. They are located on a stainless plate, that is riveted on. I can't remember the exact location but its on there.
Its a letter and 4 numbers according to my insurance policy.

Back left corner has the plate.
Theres an outfit on e-bay selling them cheap, from somwhere on the east coast there. Contact that seller and just buy it out right from them bypassing ebay. You would have it before the end of next week.

It even has the better(old style) controller! It is installed and ready to go out tonite. I engrave all my stuff like that. Engrave the motor, and a few places where it is and isn't obvious. Won't stop them, but makes it hard for them to deny if they get caught with it.
