Here is how my one way plow is designed, I can adjust the chains so it lifts level http://letstalksnow.com/forums/showpost.php?p=247743&postcount=68 If you keep on browsing through my Oshkosh thread you will see my V is similar but both sides are independent

The 12 ft Tenco I ran for the town had the same problem. Brought it back to the dealer and he hung a pully from the lift arm and ran inch cable through to each side of the push frame at the moldboard.. Worked awesome from there on out,,

i also put a pulley on.Then I had to weld stops so it wont pivot but it needs more pivot so it can follow the crown of the road .now some parts of the road had more pitch and the blade hits on one side. I need to cut the stops off so it can pivot with the crown .

i would have no problem setting the chains to lift the plow level. But then I would have a problem when I would angle the plow because the chains would be wrong

A buddy of mine recently bought an older Oshkosh with a vertical lift one-way plow on the front. I'll try to swing by his place and take some pictures in the next couple days.

Can you adjust your lift setup to raise the plow higher? So when its up and angled, it wont scrape?

Can you raise the pin holes where the blade attaches to the truck ?

i already have the plow in the lowest pin holes . It should be 6 to 8 inches lower. because the plow should be parallel to the hot top. I already have to much rake my truck is to high. I think i am going to put clamps on the cable so it wont drop and then i should get a level lift. i will let you know .
I have to be able to swing left and right with out re-adjusting the chains or cable .I think the plow is unbalanced and when it swings it drops to the heaviest end which is the tail end .

This is what I had but it wont let the plow follow the crown and is burning the blade in the middle I really liked the cable set up. you can see the stops I welded to the pivot point.

i have spent all day working on this problem. after I got off the phone with
Hi-way not the dealer in NH. I talked with a product support specialist. He sent me the owners manuel that I never got with the plow .My problem is I have a Frink hitch and the A frame on the head gear is to short. Hi-way has a telescopic adjustable A frame on there push frame. He told me i must pick up the plow directly over the center pin. and the chains will then be the same length. I am going to make anew A frame and we will see.

Oh.....
I thought you meant you were looking for something like this where the plow is raised vertically, instead of radially.

we have 4 14 ft highway plows we run with the exact same cable lift and we don't have problems with them lifting straight unless the pulley and cable aren't greased enough. Every plow in our area runs this system and we've had our 14ft since 1985. Do you cover your pulley and cable in grease or do you leave it dry?

Another thing I can't tell from the pic did you have the cable wraped around the solid pulley twice if not that's your problem. I can't really see with the chain lift how it will angle now but I hope it works out for you.

I know it looks long but hi-way says it has to be picked up over the plow angle center pin . so the chain is the same length when angled.

this is how hi-way said it should be hooked up

It would have been nice if the dealer would have given you some paperwork for the plow, it would've saved some aggravation.
Glad you got it squared away.

No problemo, Yeah you would think that when you purchase a 7-10 grand plow set-up the least they could do is give you the proper paper work...
GOOD LUCK this storm I hope it's a biggin :D
