How is this for power!!! The old man just picked it up today:D It is an 04.5 Cummins 600, long box slt. Some fancy options that he doesn't need (6 CD player, electric trans. case), but it was on the lot for a good price. All I can say is this thing:burnout :burnout :burnout

Now I have to grind my fuel plate and get some injectors so I can keep up with it!

Here is the super-quiet Cummins. My dad and I got into a little rev contest and I had to ask him to start his truck:D That's good for him, for me it has to be louder:shades

Matt, Great looking truck!:shades
On the flip side need some limestone/ or pavement on that drive way so the new interior won't get muddy!

Matt, your dads truck rocks! Very nice. Hows it power wise compared to your 94? with the plate slid. If he has any MPG estimates id be interested to hear what hes getting. Good luck with it

Where's the ground clearance? Are the photos an illusion of sorts from the angles they were taken? Perhaps not, but the truck looks low for a 2500 4x4.

They stick those small 17" tires under there.

Under the hood looks just like mine.....

Sorry 'bout not seeing this right away J.D.

Anyway, as far as the comparison goes, I have only gotten to drive it twice. The first was with my dad, the day he got it, so I couldn't really :burnout The 2nd time was with my mom, got to hammer it a little bit. It definitely accelerates a bit quicker than mine, but I think part of that is my tranny is so loosey-goosey right now. Hands down the biggest difference is how the truck just keeps pulling right up towards 3 grand, where mine kind of peters out above 2200 or so. (I need gov springs now, too!)

He constantly talks about how much more fun this is to drive than his 02 (360). He's towed the skid loader around with it, and he says it doesn't even know it is behind it, and I believe it! The other difference is the 4 wheel discs are SOOOOOO NICE! The ABS system is so fine tuned that you can stop on a dime on glare ice, and when the skidder is behind you, it definitely controls it nicely. I haven't got the skid loader behind mine yet, so no comparo there.

As far as milage goes, he started out at 14, is getting 16, now. 90% of his driving is driving to town (10 miles) and tooling around and then back. Pulling the snowmobiles up to Duluth, he got 17 at 70 MPH. He only has 1200 on it so far.

Roger- I think that is part of the angle, and also because of the huge body panels of the quad cab long box. His truck sits a couple inches taller than mine, but his tires are 2" taller, also. (That'll change, now too-I am going to get some 35" BFG's hopefully within the week:D )

I had mine 1 day beofre it pulled a heavy load.

Skid loader on the interstate Highway 70mph and they better move out of my way cause I forget it's there.

And the brake.......................Firesteins, stops on a dime and pick it up too.
