Ive got what I think is an Meyer E45 plow unit. It moves slow in all directions and it when its too cold it freezes up. Im assuming there is air and water in the system-how do i bleed it out thoroughly-all three cylinders?! I cant leave my customers under snow-thank you!!

I have a fisher MM1 but the procedure should be about the same. there should be a drain plug of some sort. you want to drain all the fluid out and undo the lines to the cylinders to bleed them out by manually pushing the blade left and right a few times. I usually then put a few ounces of oil in without putting the plug back in to try to really flush any contaminants like metal or water out of the reservoir too. Then put the plug in, hook the lines up and fill the system up, run the blade up-down and left-right a few times while keeping an eye on the fluid level, add fluid as necessary.

DON'T USE ATF!. use a good plow oil, that is designed for cold temps.

I agree with Matt, but I also put about 2 caps full of dri gas in mine to help with moisture.

Since it is all slow you may need to clean the filter ??

also flush out all old fluid replace with a good low temp Hyd oil designed for winter use .

hope this helps .
