I've read about guys doing this to there rear suspension. Have any of you tried this? How much lift did it make? Did it still drive O.K. on the street?

on average 2"-2½", rides the same, maybe a little looser because the shackel isint tryint to stay vertical anymore

your talking on the rear of an older chevy?
4" I believe
Gives you lift but with low arched springs so its more flexy and a softer ride than with arched springs. The shackle still stays vertical as apposed to horizontal so I dont know what nate means:confused: But with the homemade kit it will go from a tension type force on the shackle to a compression force. You can do a homemade shackle flip or buy a kit from ORD or others. Very streetable.

Edit: it also rotates the pinion up....
