Hey everybody, I just wanted to say thanks for all the great tips that I have read for the last year or so!!!!!!! Anyways I have a meyer e60 pump with a poly blade on a 93 chevy 2500. It is an x municipal truck and I have had it and plowed with it for the last three seasons with no issue. It is my first meyer plow I like I said it has been great!!! It had a slight leak from the top lift ram seal but is not bad. I put the blade on the truck this year and topped off the fluid(blue) and the plow went up and went slightly left and now it will not go side to side or down. I left it in the air overnight and in the morning the plow was down so I went to the plow and it went right up no problem but no side to side or down. You can hear the selinoid click when you push the touchpad and you can hear the motor running but no motion. I was going to bring it inside to flush and change the fluid to meyer yellow M1 because that is what is in my wifes two door blazer with an e47. NOW I would just settle for getting the plow to work!!!!!!! Please help me!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

hey guys I guess I was in a panic when I posted earlier, after finally getting the truck inside and looking over everything I found a cracked wire from the a coil (red wire), a couple of heat shrink fittings and everything seems to be working good now. Any advise to switching to the meyer m1 yellow fluid from the blue fluid?? Thanks!!

i say run the same thing in every thing and im biased towards the blue stuff unless you have a meyers warrenty on it then the fluid has to be changed a meyer dealer and it has to be the new stuff.

Good morning all,
Funny how some things are not unique... I had the same issue this morning with my e60 on a poly board mated to a 90 Ford Bronco.. 2 weeks ago while ploweing one of the hoses came off the punp that controls the side to side half way threw my plowing. I put it back on and things seemed to work fine.
This morning, it went up then right then got stuck. Like zeusman I can here the pump working and struggling. I shook it some left right up down by hand and it first freed up left to right. About 10 mins later is dropped and is now working fine.
I have not service this pump myself the last time last year so I was looking for instructions on how to check the fluid level. Also, from this discussion I gather there is more then one type of fluid used and I am guessing I should not mix them... I am not sure what the service guy used though.. guess I will call him should I need fluid..
Thanks in advance for your help...:D

As far as checking fluid level, with the lift ram fully down remove the threaded plug on top of the pump next to the ram. Fluid should be about an inch below the top. As far as fluid, it will most likely be the blue Meyer fluid.

Just to be clear, the red wire is the B Coil, it makes your plow go up.
The A Coil has a black wire, and makes your plow go down. The C Coil has a green wire, and makes your plow go right.
Glad it seems to be working now.
