hey guys i recently bought a 1996 f350 with a 7.3 powerstroke in it and it also came with a snow-way plow serial number 25D106770 and im looking for any advice as i am new to plowing. never plowed or owned one. where can i get a parts and service manual for my plow? im guessing i should flush out the fluid and replace it. what is the procedure for that? where to get oil for it when to use the down pressure because im guessing you dont use it all the time otherwise the wear bar would constantly need replacing correct? are there any options other than that huge joystick? i see the new ones have a handheld control but do the older ones? also this has poly blade. any advice would be great! it will be mainly used residential, my driveway and maybe neighbors but i would like to get into plowing.
thanks
-Justin

that rig should work just fine had a 97 f350 with direct induction (I belive) wich just means no intercooler still makes good power and good milage it just might have a little turbo lag (take a second or two to spool up) compared to brand new ones .Exelent truck

There was a mounting tower available I did have one in stock , I'll check.
There is a rocker switch control available, but you can not use the new style controller.

I wouldn't advocate a mount for a sno-way controller. I'm a big believer of just putting the control on your left leg and running the plow that way. Plow with your left and shift and steer with your right. This way you can just sit back like regular driving and there's no wasted motions/energy. Not to mention money you don't have to spend.

here some good advice if you want to plow for money dump that old plow and buy a new, boss-western-meyer-fisher-maybe even blizzard, but dont go puting a lot of money in that old plow,[back then they were junk] if the trucks in good shape upgrade the plow. have fun and lots of luck''':witch

I wish you were here when i had the 9 foot custom stretched out from 7 foot western conventional that i up/downgraded from the cable controlled pump to underhood belt drive pump, and ran for 3 years with no issues other than breaking the A frame in half... My god ! what was I thinking...
