Hi,
I have a 06 7-1/2 ft super duty straight blade with the rt3 smarthitch set up. i hooked up the other day worked fine. went to unhook to do pre season work went through all the steps went to press the toggle switch and got nothing. does this mean my swithc is bad or is it something else.

If you put your controler in float to disconnect tower, and there is a click from the solinoid under the hood, suspect a bad ground. Not too likely if it worked otherwise.

If there is no solinoid click, but the plow works good otherwise, suspect a loose wire in the switch circuit or a bad switch.

i set the plow down. pressed the down button on the controller till it turns red like i was told to do, flipped the pins hit the switch and got nothing no clicking at all. once the plow is hooked up it does all functions fine no hesitation at all, and my lights all work too.

Ok - pull the pump cover off, secure the lift cylinder back in place, put the controller in float, and jump the two terminals on the tower switch. Sounds like the switch is bad. I get about 3 winters out of a switch, even with the rubber condom on the toggle handle.
