has anyone else had a proplem with the cutting edges prematurely wearing out on a 10' vee?
I have gone through two sets of cutting edges and cast shoes in one season and i think with the crazy price i pay for the replacements that they are wearing out to quick. I do quite a bit of plowing and i know its alot of iron on the ground but come on!

I haven't... Is your mount sent at the correct height?
There are ways of extending their life.. Are you using the new style edges or older? Have you looked into these:

i am running the new curved style. i have checked mounting positions etc.
those winter equipment add ons...are they worth the money? on my next new set (next week) i was going to run a couple of beads of hardweld. do you think this would be ok to do?

Heavy duty municipal adjustable floating shoe assemblies.
Highly recomend them. :grinz
I my self had to switch over to a 12" x 2" rubber cut edge on mine. There were areas on certain accounts where we pealed the asphault up like snow, WHOOOPPPPPSSSS! " DID I DO THAT !!!! "
I've really learned a lot with this particular plow. When in vee position with all 1200 pounds wanting to dive wright down into the ground like a fat man going into his latenight snack attack on a icecream sunday. she'll literally take every thing she can thats loose and then some if she gets the chance on older parking lots.:grinz
Seriosley though thats what I am putting onto mine, there rated for high speed and lots of action and there floating mushroom shoe assy.
You may have allready got somthing by now but a little Imfo for the future never hurts.:smoking

We ran the 2" black urethane on ours, it lasted longer than any steel cutting edge, and did far less damage to parking lots.
It doesn't scrape hard pack as clean as steel, but with the weight of the 10', it still did quite well.
