Just another "close call" is what im mostly hearing.I will start watching it next week to see what happens. It sure would be nice to get a plowable event i need some :cash coming in!
I have the feeling one of these "close calls" is going to move up and get us good.

:( Same Damn thing here in CT, they say there is a chance of flurries tonight and tomorrow but thats it !!!!
Heck even Gary Gray said and I quote
"And, with that said, I'll not be posting on this system again, since it's nearly a non-event, unless I see some significant unexpected changes in the forecast. Frankly, I don't know when/if I'll be posting again... the next system, far out in the medium range, is projected to ride far to the west and be a rain storm. That'll push us well into early March, and the clock will be running low on winter" '
Looks like that the end of winter is not too far away for us:( :( :(
I'm sad and depressed

JCurtis, i feel for you.
but, remember a couple of years ago, we had a storm april 1st.
keep wishing!
It snowed 5" here last April 7, after weeks of March weather in the 50s & 60s. March is usually good for a snow or 2. Nothing on the horizon right now, but it sure is possible. The April storm was forecasted to be rain, with lows in the high 40s on the night of April 4. Then on April 6 they suddenly changed it to school closing snow forecast LOL.

It's getting very discouraging around these parts, but on the plus side Boston does average 2" in April

OH I realize that it can snow in March and April, I remember some really decent storms in March and April, but lets face it the chances are getting slimmer by the day( at least for my neck of the woods.

In the Detroit area we pick up another salting event last night. Haven't plowed all of Febuary, except for some slush/freezing rain slop. Compared to last Febuary in is very slow. Last Feb. we has 5 plowable evnets. Last Marh we had 2 plowable, and one salt only event. Then on the 23rd of March 2003 we did a sping clean-up at on of our customer's cemetery. If I remember right it was real warm then in the 50-60 F. This is the good part:eek:
April 5th came on in and we got 7 inches of snow:cash
Plowed on the 5th-7th and salted again on the 8th for the last time until December 2003..
So hopefuly we get a few more events before the frost leaves the ground. I'm working on getting the mowers ready for there big day.. Just need some more snow between now and when things get green again. Rather use that snow money to pay the bills than draw out of the old bank account:grinz
Wish you all a great:cash end to Winter!
