It would be nice, but I've looked into it for my site too. There's a hefty annual fee involved with using it, I'm sure as sponsors come along, Chuck will consider it.

BWhite, I have no problem reading any of your replies to be honest with you. Even if someone makes a spelling mistake, I have no problem knowing what they meant to type. What gets annoying though, is when someone doesnt use punctuation, and there is no periods or anything. Its just like one real long run on sentence and its up to you, the reader, to know where the punctuation should be, so that it reads properly to you. Mike :headwall

Spell checker does not have to cost a penny. If this site is on a shared server, the server either needs to have the ispell or aspell library on it. Chuck provides the path to that library and installs the spell checker hack, and >voila< - spell checker.
If it is on a dedicated server, just have one of those libraries installed and follow the rest of the steps.

mike what do you mean are you inciteing that people on here would write long sentences without any breaks wow i could see how that could get annoying trying to figure out where the puncuation goes in so that it will all read right and make sence i agree with the idea of a puncuation checker because if it was it would greatly help for those posts that are written with absolutly no puncuation they can get hard to follow oh well i guess it really doesnt matter if there is one it might just be a little frustrateing. lol :burnout

Stonehenge has posted a way to get it at no cost that I was unaware of. I'm sure Chuck will look into it as will I for my site. These changes take time to implement, and we're trying to do it on our off time.

Until a spell checker is installed, you can use word (98 or later) or Outlook Express.
Word will have a little red line under the word if the word is mis-spelled or not in your personal library.
Outlook Express, type your response, go to tools, spelling.
When all corrections are completed, copy or cut and paste in the reply window.
A cheap alternative for now.

Steve, you've got my numbers, give me a call when you get a chance. We'll be wrapping up for the season shortly, so I should have more time.
And Chuck, send me an email if you want to know more about the spell check option.

Chuck found a program that lets you add spell check to your computer. It works even better than spell check added to the LTS page. I copied his post about it here:
Chuck Smith
http://www.iespell.com/download.php
I just installed this program, amd so far it works great! It's free, and resides on your computer as a plug in for Internet Explorer (Sorry Firefox users!)
If you download it from the above link, and install it, then close your browser, and open it again, it will be under Tools.
Man I wish I knew about this a LONG time ago!
~Chuck
Check it out!
