your nut is either loose or you have to repack it. the repacking should be prety easy in a ram that small and the kit is farly cheap.

should i just try turning the nut?

I would try it mine was just a little loose after they did the install and i just tightened it up and no more leak. but if you have to do the packing it's not that bad i have done it on bigger machine cylenders and that one would be easy being so small.

For what they are worth, get a replacement cylinder, and install it,then rebuild the old one for a spare.

It may be that the nut is just loose, I'd try tightening it first to see if the leak stops. If not, I'd take wyldman's advice.

I would of said to get another cylinder but at a cost of over $100 verses just a few bucks for the packing.I was gonna repack mine but my chrome was gone so it was cheaper to get a new unit than just the rod. But as Chris says you could pack that one and have it as a back up if you need a new cylinder.

try to tighten first, if not then get the new packing/nut assembly (about $20.00) should take about 15 mins to change.
