I'm looking for a boss RT3 Mount for an 05 GMC/Chevy 2500HD & was curious as to what the part number was, and what years will also fit. Thanks To all.

1999 up to what year? Also, I have an extra wiring harness off of a Ford/Dodge that has been used on both trucks, would that fit on the GM, or is it a diffrent harness?

99 to current year 2009. The wiring harness on a Boss is the same for all vehicles so long as they are 11 pin or 13 pin on both sides (plow and truck) The only thing that could change is the headlight adapters

I know that's not the part number you gave me, So i was curious as to what is diffrent. It looks pretty similar as to how it would mount?

By the way, thanks for all of your help so far!

The ad is misleading. While it is an RT3 mount it is a "Sport Duty" mount which tends to be a lighter mount. It is a GM classic body style mount and the 05 you asked about is the newer body style and although they look simular there are subtle difference that would not allow a direct installation more than likely. While I am sure you can modify it to fit I would be leary of its abilities being a sport duty and you want to run a standrd type plow on it.

If there were no differences in the strength of it I doubt it would be a different part number. Also If you go to the provided link and look at both manuals you can compare the two and make your decision from the information on them. The widths of the plows mounting points may be different from a sport duty to a standard plow but I do not know that for sure as I have not reviewed the manual and have not installed a sport duty as of yet but I do have one coming in this week for a Dakota

Just so you know,.... Sport Duty Mounts run 45-75 lbs and regular mounts run 75 to 140lbs so there has to be some steel missing someplace on a sport duty mount

Newer mounts will fit back to 99 HD, but a older mount will fit on ,but is shorter from the cross member foward on 03 & up trucks.
I had a older mount on my 05 w/ a rt3 8'2" v plow & it was close to the bumper. New model of mount moves it out a bit for better clearance.
Older mounts have a more square bolt pattern for the cross beam, where the newer style is not show much a square pattern
