I always wondered why the driver seat isn't on the other side. These trucks are mostly used with wings I would think that would make it much easier. just wondering

Most of the early trucks were set up for two operators.. Grant, in Kremmling Colorado doesn't run without his "Wingman" Maybe thats were today's slang term came from?

They used to run wingmen all the time here for many years. Then once the state DOT decided they can run plows without, the towns followed them, unless its a really really bad storm, then they might run a truck or 2 with wingmen...

They cut the wingman here 5 years ago, the year I apply for it.:(

I ran wing all through High School. Spent 3 years as a wingman. Learned a lot.

As for which side you drive from, the cab on mine is narrow enough so it isn't bad watching the wing. If you adjust the seat all the way up you can see the wing tip, although once you get going, you don't usually need to see it to know where it is.

on edit, HS! Did you see one of my vids has 48,000 views! Holy cow!
