Excellent article in the November issue on Job Costing, by Jeff Tovar and Rick Lenth, from Tovar's Snow Plowing.

Also, I see our own John DiMartino quoted in an article on page 40. ;) Wait, oh yeah, I wrote that article, and quoted John :D

Two Moderators and an Administrator quoted in trade magazines this month. Looks like we are off to a great start. I for one am thankful to have both of them on board here.

Congrats guys!

Chuck, where can we subscribe to the mag? My first issue (the first issue) was also my last. I thought I was on their list, but apparently not.

It's no surprise to me ;)

It is great to see so many professional here getting the recognition they deserve.

Does anyone no what the last issue was, before November. I just got the November issue a couple of days ago, but it was at least 3 or four months since the previous issue was sent to me.

I am looking forward to getting my new issue in the mail. Its been a while since I have gotten an issue, but I always do end up getting it, even if it shows up late. I have 3 issues to date, February 2003, May 2003, and lastly, September 2003. Is this proper, that it skips a few months in between?? I guess my November issue is on its way! :burnout Mike :)

Yeah, I had difficulty and never received a few issues. I had to email Steve smith on a couple of occassions in order to get the September issue and other issues I never got.

I don't know whether its the tha magazine people, The distribution list and staff or the Postal service.

I sometimes swear my Mail carrier or someone in the postal service is "borrowing" my Snow Business Issue !!!!!

Do I LOOK like the local library???? I think not !!!

By the way, I haven't received the November Issue yet either !!

Looks like its time for another email to Steve at Snow Business magazine .

I guess because its a free service, you have to expect to get it late or not at all. I subscribe to DIRT BIKE magazine, which you pay for, and I receive every issue, and always on time. Not complaining, I love the magazine, just giving my oppinion on why its late or never received at all. Mike :)

Ummm... the magazine is published 4 times per year, so that would explain why some of you only get one every few months :D ;) I think they try to put it out more often in the winter, and then it comes out a little slower in the summer?? Because it doesn't seem to be coming out at an even quarterly pace according to posts here. This magazine is probably the smallest of the ones that GIE publishes, and I haven't heard of problems like these during discussions of the other ones, so it is certainly a wierd situation.

Oh well, that would explain it then, wouldnt it? :D I thought it was supposed to come every month, but I guess not. So you should get 4 issues per year then? Ok, I got 3 of them so far. That damn 4th one should be here anyday now! :D Mike

I'll quote for you from the magazine article:

"According to John DiMartino, Walden, NY, who is a high performance transmission builder who also plows snow, the temperature of the transmission should never exceed 230° in the pan."

I think I can get a couple of extra copies, and send you one. ;)
