I have a 7.5 western unimount 4 years old. I went to the store today to buy hydraulic fluid. I always but the western recommended blue fluid. But I went to different location and the salesman sold me a FISHER fluid. The fluid is clear, I have never used it before. But the guy said it work in western also and is rated -70 degrees.

My question is that will I be able to use this fluid? Is he correct?

Will I have problem, since I've always used western blue fluid.

The color is only a dye there are several different colors of plow fluid. I have seen red, green, blue, but heard there are other colors, The dealer is right it will be fine.BTW Fisher and Western pumps are identical and made by the same company.
