Hey,

Was asked to post these here, did not see a vid forum. If this is the wrong forum hopefully a mod will move them.

Cheers
Jeff

We just saw one of those plows at the Ohio Power Show in Columbus pretty impressive looking plow. It has a huge cutting edge and very strong looking A frame but does it hold up .

I saw this plow in person at the Milwaukee Conex show last week. Always had a big crowd of guys watching the reps operating the plow. Certainly seems like the hydraulics are fast. I did chuckle though as they had the plow on a Chevy one ton pickup and with the plow up the front sagged down to where the mount was only about 3" off the floor.

Funny...........There was so many complaints/bad mouthing etc about the
Megablade as well as Snoway in general over at the "darkside" that Snoway
requested that the whole snoway thread be closed and pulled.

Strange.....Very strange!

After what those guys that bought them went threw, thats pretty sad that Sean and his gang of typo nazi's would do that to the members over there.
Just so the manufacture can sell more garbage. They were probably worried about a class action suit, if the word got out.
Did they actually fix that thing yet ? Or did they use the repair/RD (on a fully tested plow ) money to buy more advertising over there ?

I saw one around my parts last year and now I see he's got a Fisher hanging off of the front.

Saw the Noway booth at the landscape show a couple weeks ago and to me it seemed like it was still struggling to lift it. The salesman said to me that the battery on the truck was getting a little low:wink

Could actually be. I know at the show I saw it at they were slinging those wings around and angling that thing non stop all day.

You got to talk to the salesman? When we went by, he wasn't in the mood for taking questions or comments. Chad must have been by a few minutes earlier, and ruined it for us!!

I was actually pretty surprised by the attitude of the staff at that booth. For someone trying to sell a product, I don't understand how an abrasive and obnoxious attitude works into solidifying someone's opinion of the product.

It all started when I asked if it was better than my SnowBear... :wink

Why in the hell wouldn't they have it plugged into a battery tender/charger?

Neal, I think one of the big issues they had was the lift feature with a load of snow. Once that motor/pump setup got hot it was done. Wiggling and waggling at trade shows is not really a workout. Although that may be were the fully tested part came from last season. :wink

Agreed.

I must of missed this plow coming out last season. I had no idea people were having problems with it. So I gather SnoWay got it out a little too early and the end user uncovered the bugs eh?

I didn't want to get beat up so I thought it was better to keep walking by that booth.

Interesting, as that was the same thing I ran into at the NTEA show last April.

There were a few guys who bought them and were up **** Creek without a paddle. Snow way wasnt real good about getting anything fixed in a timely manner. So if it was your only plow, you were screwed.

well we walked past the booth and I thought what the heck I'll ask a few questions and my guy's heard about all of the problems with them from me so we walked up.

The one salesman that I made eye contact with said that the other guy would be happy to talk to me. He showed us how it worked and ya the blade is fast doing all the movements except for up and down. I saw a charger hooked up to the battery but wether it was plugged in or not who knows. I asked about the updates and what happened to the original design and the salesman answered that the engineers tested it at an old abandoned airport and not in the real world where you don't have a push that's a few hundred feet long at a time. But also mentioned that the problems were blown way out of proportion.

I think that this company has a reputation that is going to be a monkey on their back for a long time. If I were them I would redesign and change the colours on it to make it a totally different blade so that no-one recognises it.

If the biggest problem was the lift capability being maxed out, Hydraulics 101 would suggest the quickest fix would be more surface area inside of the lift piston: more lift at the expense of speed. The rest of the functions would remain as fast as they currently are.

Hydraulics 102 is more pressure from a stouter pump.

Customer Service 101 is to do the above quick.

I agree. Case did that with there MXM line. They had so many problems they changed the name to loos the bad reputation.

Apparently it was more to do with the angle of the lift cylinder. There is a guy over on the other site that apparently has a new Rev and it's workking fine this year.
