Hi Guys,
I just ordered a Blizzard 8 ft straight blade. Needed to get the truck into production and couldn't afford the 810. Anyone else have one? its going on my 97 Dodge 2500 cummins. Got it thru a fellow S-C member. I am pumped. should be in and on the road in about a week. Pics to follow. :D

Nice ! Are you sure you can't swing the 810 ? It would pay for itself in no time, unless your hourly. :D

You can always upgrade later,if the need arises.

We are running the 8' straight on a 01 Chevy 2500HD and a 89 Chevy 1500 Z71. Love em! :p

Chris, I loooked long and hard. I do a bunch of small lots with my truck. The loader and another truck do the big ones. I just need to get it on the road. Better to have minimal debt and a new regular plow than mongo debt and a fancy plow. I did test a Western V plow when I was in Philly with KenP. It was sweet, but again, $$ entered. I will try for an upgrade to an 810 next year. Right now we have a strong season underway, but I have seen them fizzle in March. I have to be conservative now.

Highpoint- glad to hear it. I like the looks. Can't wait to see it perform. :cash

Have you tried calling your local dealer??? Or did you call Blizzard direct??? Sometimes if you call your local dealer they are able to locate one and get it for you pretty quick.

Here is the only listed RI dealer:

C.J.C. Snowplows, Inc.
1 Tag Drive
N. Providence, RI 02911

Yes, I am working with a local dealer. (chtucker here on S-C) I think it is the 810's they are out of. He is making me a really good deal on the straight. The 810 would run about 50-60% more. (if available) For the jobs I do with it at this time, the benefits of the 810 are minimal. The 50% higher cost is significant. Next year is another story.
Yeah, like my Broncos, there's always next year. :D

Unfortunately the well is pretty dry on all New Blizzard plows at this time.

Dealers calling all over the country to locate plows. 810's are almost non existant though I heard of 2 today and spoke for one if I can get it. A few 760HD's floating around on the east coast and some 760LT's on hand here and some other dealers.
I knew of some 8611's but there pretty scarce also.

Big lesson here is order now for next year.....

It turns out that all 8 ft Blizzard's are gone. I am getting a Western 8 ft ProPlow on Wednesday. Obviously Blizzard is doing something right to sell out across the country by Feb. Oh well. Getting another truck next year. Maybe then the 810 can happen. Thanks for all the comments.:p
