I am trying replace a few of the factory bolts on my BMW bike with some longer ones to mount a rack that I built.. The Factory had the pinkish/redish loc-tite compound which has filled the threads up pretty good. I don't own any taps, expecially not metric...
What will disolve loc-tite?

Red Loc-Tite Bottle says use heat to remove the fastener so heat would be my recommendation followed by trying acetone to remove the residual after the heat has removed the bulk of it
