I just got the Feb. 2004 issue of Snow Business Magazine. I was wondering if you have to send in the renewal form? I thought if you were a member of SIMA, you got it automatically.

Snoworks,
Yes I would still fill that form out & send it in. There is some kind of federal law that requires publishers to re-request that info from any free subscriptions each year. So they may need that returned to continue the subscription regardless if you are a SIMA member or not. (Probably before it became a public publication this wasn't necessary?)

E-mail them or better yet, call them directly to find out what's up with your subscription. You probably missed one if it's been 4 months (published 6 times\year).

Ray,
Aren't you a SIMA member???
You better call Julie up and tell her that you haven't been getting your copies on a regular basis.

Ray, contact Julie and also email Steve Smith at the Magazine.
he was who helped me in the past.
The SIMA office may be able to get you back copies of any issue you miussed, talk to them.
It may take awhile, like it did with me, but they get it right eventually.
I think its harder since it only comes out what 4 times a year. Maybe someday it could be a monthly issue.

I have not gotten the latest issue yet, but I will give it some time. Hopefully this time I will get the issue without a problem because the last issue (Nov. 2003) for some reason I was skipped and Steve had to "manually" send one to me and told me that he will make sure my name is still on the list. If I don't get the issue within a week, I will know.
It would be nice to see Snow Business turn into monthly subscription someday in future, but I think that it would be too hard for them to do and keep up and if it does, they may have to skip a few issues/year. One thing I noticed for sure that each issue is getting thicker every time! :) I think that I would like to see them changing it to bi-monthly subscription so that way each issue will be sent out at evenly intervals, and to keep us busy reading. :D

I guess I'll have to email the mag and call SIMA too- I only got the ones they included in my membership packet when I signed up last fall. I haven't seen anything since then.:(
Hope fully I'll get one soon!!

Just got my e-mail version of snow business, great. Tried to subsribe when I 1st heard about it, but didn't get any response, so I thought it was a US only mag. Went through the e-mail version to try and find a link to subscribe to the hard copy, couldn't find one. When sreaching here, I see that it may be part of a SIMA membership, is it?
How does one susscribe to the mag?

I also got the email newsletter from snow business magaize today too, how wonderful.
I still am awaiting on my copy of current magazine (Feb. '04?) which is yet to arrive in my mailbox. It has been almost a month since I requested through email (because I never got a copy while some others did) and was being told that they will "manually" send out a copy to me. I guess they never did. :(
