trynex tailgate spreader

after having my speader gate cable freeze up and become useless i came up with an electric gate system . its realy quite handy as now i can run all of it right from cab better still it wont stick like that junk cable system the put on it origanly. anyhow if anyone has a cable operated gate on thier tailgate spreader and you want a simmple way to make life easer let me know.:burnout

I didn't know Trynex had any set ups like that. I did just see an ad for Spyker spreaders making a similar set up now that mounts in the trailer hitch (small unit, basically the fert hopper fabbed to work in your hitch & electric turning the spinner). When I saw the ad I didn't think a cable operated gate sounds like a good idea for salt spreaders applying to parking lots. Its OK for the sidewalk spreading as you can keep an eye on it & keep them from breaking too much.

I see in your sig you are talking about a 1075? I didn't know they were set up like that. Maybe you could just share the trick with all of us, instead of just telling people who contact you?? We would appreciate it :)

i am going to put it up for you all . i am going to have to explain it because half pics i had got lost, but its easy to do and i have pics of contrl in cab will get back on it in couple hours as am out still stacking snow and have fun .

plowing! ok heres the low down on my gate. its run by a remote door lock for a car/truck . i made the box out of sheet steel and left the bottom out so i can get to it if need be. the wirring is preaty basic the motor uses negative ground to acuate and you can still retain your gate agustment as to how wide the hole is. it hooks up to gate where cable went through and uses two screw locks on either side of hole in gate. when you push one switch it opens and the outher closes it . you do have to keep auger moving when you close it so it dosnt bind with salt but i been using it for two years and only problem was my fault . thought it froze up and banged with hammer and broke acuater /it was the wires came unhooked improved plug no problems since. kind of wish had vibrater on spreader as salt clumps up but maybe next year. the switches are in contrl box in cab. i am puting up pics that i have . if ya got ? let me know as i put one in one outher truck but have not tryed it on outher brands yet .
