I would like to see a Forum button started for snow hauling. It is a big part of snow removal and it would be helpful to hear tricks of the trade. Thanks

Ya it is a pretty big business but unfortunately not that many private contractors do it.
The contractor here in town does ESPN. Every bit of snow is hauled off the premisis. His truck roll ever night after a storm. When we get big snow there is probably 2 dozen trucks hauling snow. Crazy.
Oh ya. Welcome to LTS. If you got some pics post them up for the whores!

We do it up here with lots of triaxle dumps, bobcats, 4x4's and a blower. The cats push it off the sidewalksinto a long row the blower comes along and blows it into the trucks. Problem is coz the snow has salt in it you cant dump it where you want the MOE must approve the site then it must be melted and pumped directly into a sewer lots of BS. Next time we have the show running i will snap off a few pics.

Welcome to Let's Talk Snow dwmaster.
You are welcome to start a discussion on snow hauling in the "Snowplowing Discussions" forum. LTS was started in 2003 and since then I think there have just been a small handful of threads on the topic, I'm not sure in total they would be enough to have a dedicated forum. Chuck will see this and can consider it.
In the mean time, I'm going to close this thread only because it started as a question regarding the viability of a new forum. If you'd like to continue a discussion on snow hauling, please start a thread in "Snowplowing Discussions" as I suggested. Thanks!
