I know you guys like your trucks, but I thought I'd post some pics of my tractor and inverse blower that I use for residentials.
It has polyurethane edges on all cutting edges and a rear drag that I can set down within 1-2" of a garage door.

Nice setup Dylan. What size blower is on there? Have any more pictures of it?
Thanks

Great unit dylan
I do have a question
How does your back and neck hold out after hours of using the blower ???? Seems uncomfortable...Just curious

Plow Dak - I find the inverse blower not too bad on the neck. Most of the blowing is done while driving forward so you are looking forward. It only takes seconds to back up a driveway and then you are driving out again. Visability is good up there in the tractor. I try to look over both shoulders to even things out. It does not matter what you are driving: truck, tractor etc, it has to be backed up. Only after 16 + hrs in the seat do things start to get sore.
Prosno & 90plow- thanks, it is a new holland TC33D with a smith 72" blower. Many pics to come. Nice paint job on your blower.

Here is the inverse blower. It is 72" wide. Made by Smith. Dual remotes run the chute. It has polyurethane cutting edges. Notice the rear drag for getting close to objects.

Close up of the rear drag and the skid shoe. The shoe is not adjustable but I only do pavement. On grassy areas I control the height with the 3ph until I have a base of snow.

Yellow markers so I can see how close to garage doors I am getting. Polyurethane cutting edge on drag too.

Primary cutting edge and auger.
This area needs some improvement I think. I'm going to bolt on some "prowings" to trap more snow in the box area. It tends to spill out the sides because the housing is not very deep. I tend to using it like a pull plow when doing parking lots with cars in them so more capacity would save time.
I also find that the auger is not close enough to the housing and alot of snow gets left in the blower and then falls out when I drive away from the house. I might weld "teeth" onto the auger but I am concerned about them breaking off and coming out like bullets.
I don't like the cutting edge being flat to the ground and have drawn up plans for a verticle mount like on a plow. That should help it scape even better.

Cutting edge on bucket. Used summer and winter to prevent marks on driveways. I've ground down the bolts so the snow did not get stuck on them.
Zack, how wide is your blower and how many hp are you running?

I have used a tractor and blower for the last 14 years and I am very happy moving snow that way. All my accounts are in town and within three miles of my house. They all can be accessed from side streets so I don't have to drive on the main roads and be a traffic hazzard with the slow moving tractor. My truck and plow is used for a backup or with light powdery snow. This system has worked well. We are getting 5" of snow this morning and looks like I'll be moving some snow after lunch.

doncampbellmodels, looks good. How big is that blower?
What have you got on the front of your tractor? Loader? Pusher box? How many drives are you doing?

The blower is 7 feet wide and the tractor has 65 hp. My next tractor will definitly have more hp and be 4WD (sick of putting chains on that tractor every winter).

My snowblower is a 84" and I have a snowscoop on the loader arms I built with quik-tach brackets. The wings are reversable on the snowscoop. Because I pull frontwards in most of my accounts and pull within a couple inces of the doors, I have the wings in the backward position. Then I pull the snow to the road, then blow it in the front yard. I only have 15 accounts. We got 5" today and I just finished plowing them.

It might not have a blower but it will move and stack snow.

Do you have any pics of that scoop, it sounds interesting. How long does it take to do your 15 accounts?

You must have a good view of the plow out front like that. Do you find that set up works well as opposed to mounting the plow to the tractor subframe?

The visibality is outstanding. The tractor I had before this one was a Kubota L2550 that was ordered with a dozer / snowplow Blade. Due to the way was mounted the visability was not that great. But down pressure proved to be useful. The one in the pic. I am able to stack snow over 12' high. Also found a new use for the blade today due to the reach of it i was able to clean off the deck of my trailer in 2 passes. The blade can be angled from the cab. On the rear is an ARPS 3pt grading blade that comes in handy for garages and side walks.
