The pump is lifting the plow just enough to suck the front of the truck down but it wont get the plow off the ground.

The wings are working just fine. We switched around some of the solenoids and even connected one of the wing lines to the lift port and it operated the wing. We cracked open the fittings into the lift cylinders and there was good pressure.

The pump has been drained and filled 3 times now. I have always made sure that the fluid was at the correct level.

The plow was running perfectly until my driver made a final push into the pile. I watched him go into the pile and he did it very gently. I really dont think that this is being caused by abuse.

My only thought is that the pump is not generating enough pressure to lift the plow.

Thanks

After talking with a few hydraulic shops and a few Boss dealers, it sounds like bad lift cylinders. They either broke or have bad seals.

Just ordered two new ones.

If the plow is a 1994 chances are your seals dried out and cracked by now

Got it fixed. Replaced both lift cylinders with new ones.

The ones that were on it were original. I was pretty surprised at how long they lasted.

Both Lift cylinders?

I am not totally sure if it was just one or both cylinders that went bad. Most likely it was just one of them. I figured it was better to replace both at the same time.

I am going to take the old ones to a hydraulic shop to see if it would be worth getting them rebuilt. That way, I will have a couple of spares.

What crap, 15 years old and they were bad. lol

You know, if you had a chain lift, this wouldn't have been an issue. LMAO
